It’s really upsetting in a way that female nipples are now seen as the same as porn. I’m European. I grew up seeing nudity as just the lack of clothing. Nothing sexual about it. Mostly mundane, sometimes art, sometimes yes, tantalizing.
Suddenly I’m told that it’s wrong. That it is okay to see all the nude sculptures everywhere, that paintings from hundreds of years ago are art, but that the moment a movie shows a woman being topless it is a crime. That there is shame attached to me changing a shirt on a beach or anything that I grew up to see as something normal.
I have no interest in posting explicit porn here, I make gifs of movies that might not be suitable for children for various reasons, but that are far from porn. Yet I really don’t want to have it treated as outrageous if you can see a female breast. All those beautiful scenes from OLLA are getting flagged, because a married couple talks naked in bed and you see nipples.
The USA really need to learn the difference between nudity and porn, because they are more than worlds apart.
