Characters are people, and people are never without fault. People are problematic. People do disgusting things. Let your characters do these things, and have your narrative condemn or punish them.
Contrary to a lot of people I don’t want to see Loki become a hero and even less an Avenger. He is the God of
Mischief and an anti-hero. That’s what made him the beautiful and complex
character we love and he should always stay like that; walking the thin line
between chaotic good and chaotic evil, doing things the way he wants to, being
a trickster but coming through for the others in the very end, doing more good
than bad but never a true hero just like he was never a true villain. And he can’t
be an Avenger because that would mean he’d have to live by their moral codes,
listen to the Cap’s or Tony orders, be a team player… That’s not Loki. He is
a free spirit and a survivor who thinks of himself first. Loki’s only team can
be Thor and he can only listen to him… if he chooses to do so. Marvel already
striped Loki of most of his magic, if they strip him of his mischievous and
anti-hero nature too there will be no Loki left. Or to be more precise the
character that will be called Loki will have nothing to do with him.
↖ this blog supports Loki, and it will always do it, no matter what. Despite IW, despite Thanos, despite any bad things they plot against him. He’ll SURVIVES this hell, and he will be safe and sound far from the evil clutches of Thanos.
