I met Woojoo in June in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.

During most of the weekends, thousands of South-Korean women visit the beautiful gardens of the Gyeongbok Palace wearing colourful traditional dresses called hanboks, like their ancestors used to.

Looking around you could feel in another era, but the last generation smart phones, which are taking selfies all around, will remind you that you’re in one of the most modern places on earth. Still, it’s magical to see this bridge between past and present, in this atemporal garden, proving that progress and modernity can go hand in hand with traditions.

Why are y’all so old having fan accounts? Dont y’all have a career? Children, husbands? Like my friends would be side-eying me if at 21 I still had this account… 😬

What the fuck is this anon on? They must be 12 and have no life experience for this narrow minded bullshit. Guess what? Having interests and loving movies and actors and music and being in fandoms and ENJOYING SHIT never goes away. Not at 21, 31, 41, 51, etc. Not sure why you think enjoying life has to die once you become an adult (if so then man I feel bad for you lol), as if being a grown up means all you have to do is work, pay taxes, get married and pop out 2 kids and discuss mortgages and retirement plans all day long. No fun for you! Only SRS BIZ for adults! Like the fuck? Being an adult is MORE reason to engage in fun and frivolous things, because being an adult sucks. It’s stress and bills and compromises just to get by. If any adult wants to sit their ass online and write Harry Potter fic or make art for marvel or stan for cmbyn or WHATEVER it is that makes their day a little happier, less stressful, etc then I fully support this. And sooo many fandoms are built on the back of older fans—-ones who have careers and masters degrees and PHD’s and marriages and kids and handle it swimmingly. All that fic and art and shit fans love to consume—guess what—it’s not all 15 years olds sitting at home on their computers. That amazing multi chartered fic you just read? A 50 year old wrote that. That stunning fan art? A 40 year old drew that. Cool gif sets and graphic? Check those 30 year olds out. That hilarious meme? A 26 year old popped that out.

Please. I imagine tho you’re too young to realize how stupid this sounds, and once you go out into the real world and see just how much it blows, you will realize how foolish you were and cling even harder to the online things you enjoy. Even if you are GASP …21!! Ya know, 21, when you’re supposed to be an adult and get married and have kids and…..lolz
